Celebrities Making a Difference

In today's cold, cruel world, everyone always wants to report and read about the bad things. Even the news if filled with all of the horrible events in the world, making a lot of people paranoid. Wouldn't it be nice if there was more good news to report? Well, I am going to do that right now because I believe that many people are generally good and kind...

Madonna has donated half a million dollars to Italy's earthquake victims. I know a lot of people think, "oh, that's just a drop in the bucket for her, anyways", but the fact is half a million dollars is a lot of money and she didn't HAVE to do that. Kudos, Madonna!

Pink has given a quarter of a million dollars to the victims of the Australia bushfires that has claimed over 200 lives and has left thousands homeless. Go, Pink!

Hugh Jackman is pledging to donate 100 thousand dollars to one of his followers on Twitter's favorite charity. The winner has to convince him why in 140 characters or less. Alright, Wolverine!

Britney Spears, everyone's favorite gossip girl, actually does a lot of good things, despite all of the bad press, so I think she deserves props for the good that she does. Last month, during her Circus Tour, she stopped at a local children's hospital in Miami to visit with sick children, also donating $100,000 to the big apple circus clown care program, which sends clowns to come entertain and visit with sick kids in hospitals.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are right up there with Oprah, though. These two are celebrities that not only put up a lot of money (because, quite honestly, most of them can afford to and have more money than most of us!), but they actually get involved in the charities. Last year, the couple donated over 8 million dollars to different charities! On top of that, Brad Pitt's foundation, make it right, has already built many new houses for the Katrina victims of the 9th ward. Not only does Mr. Pitt head up this foundation, he gets out there and helps build houses. The picture below is from the little pink houses project. Check out the website..

HAIR The Musical...Still Relevant!

There is a new production of the classic musical "Hair" on Broadway, which recently just officially opened. Last summer, there was a free production in Central Park and it was so well-received that it has now gone back on Broadway, with the same cast. We saw it a few weeks ago, and let me tell you...WOW! It was amazing! It's really weird how history always seems to repeat itself, as it seems just as relevant in our current turbulent state as it was in the sixties.

Are They Aging Well...or Not?

Let's face it...some of us age well and look well-preserved, but some of us, quite simply, do NOT...Judge for yourself...

Britney Spears' Idol Reject Stalker

Her name is Miranda tozier-Robbins and she was caught with a video camera on spears' estate. Apparently, she said that she was going to have a pool party at britney's. She had to be dragged off the property.

Friends make the best celebrities

My actress friend Carrie Reynolds (remember that name) is co-starring in her first major movie production. The film is called "City Island" and also stars Andy Garcia and Julianna Marguiles. It was filmed on City Island, up in The Bronx and is looking likely to be a hit. It is expected to be out sometime this summer. Make sure you check it out and check out this scene with Carrie!
